Clutter !!

Do you love clutter? I do!
Clutter is a word that I adore! ;-)

I'm never happier than when I am poking about in clutter, junk, call it what you will.
I just love it. The thought of re-using, inventing a different use or even altering it, to me is such a lot of fun.
And so, if I find any place with clutter, I am in my element .
That's just how it was in Hay on Wye recently...

Hay on Wye is mainly full of old bookshops (one of my other loves!)

But it was clutter that caught my eye.

I am so intrigued with the history of all sorts of clutter and I always wonder what story it could tell if it could talk.
Another place that we visited was Leominster. One or two kind bloggers had already told me about ...

Following Utter Clutter, a friendly welcome was waiting for us in the Square, where 'Roberto' looked after us superbly well as we firstly took a break in his delightful tea rooms and then wandered through his Antiques centre...not really 'clutter' as it was very well organised, I hasten to add.

A very nice man , who certainly promoted his town very well indeed.

I love moochin' around antiques centres and there were plenty of those on our hols.
But give me a pile of clutter... and I'm happy!

  1. I love poking around crowded shops too (and that means crowded stock, not crowded with people!)

You always post such lovely photos. Thank you. x

  2. Thanks for visiting me. I too like "tidy" clutter - seemed to have gathered things around me over the years, all with memories attached and therefore un-throwoutable! If you really want clutter borrow my terrier pup - new bed on Saturday reduced to a pile of kapok by this morning!

  4. I am with you Sal, never happier than when visiting 'clutter' shops. I love all the old stuff so much more than mmodern things - apart from the odd bit of kitchen 'must have' equipment!

  10. Looks as though you've had a lovely time. Being a Midlander, I've been to most of the places except Chester, which I must rectify one day - it does look beautiful. The pictures of Clun bring back lovely memories of my grandad, although I've never seen the water so high at Clun bridge!! Took my nephew there years ago when he was about 5 and he paddled in the water, but it was only about 2 inches high then!! :0)

  19. We were in Leominster a fortnight ago, so it was lovely to see your photographs. How did you get on in Utter Clutter? There isn't much room to navigate your way around is there? Thanks for the pictures of Hay too. We haven't visited for some time and it's on my 'to do' list. If I show your pics to the other half it might inspire him to take me.
