These vintage embroidery (on linen) ebay 'finds' are rather cute..not what I was looking for mind you but they kind of appealed to me. The seller thought they were 1950s ish.
As yet,I'm not sure what to do with them !
Frame them? Use them to make something?
(They measure approx 17 inches by 8 inches.)
Meanwhile...thank you to Twiggy...

Very nice, they do have a sort of Janet and John look to them. Would they make cushion covers?
ReplyDeleteThey look as though they were hand drawn and not created from transfers. Very sweet and innocent looks. Not sure about the green dungarees and matching socks though! The children in the second picture remind me of French children.
ReplyDeleteI would frame them Sal.. everything I buy tends to end up in a frame!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your award.. well deserved.. you always provide such a bright, colourful and interesting read..
Thank you for awarding me with this new gong.. I shall dust down my mantelpiece and polish it regularly.. Thank you Sal.. you are so kind!
