This week, I've been mostly painting, hence the lack of blogging!
This was a dowdy old pine kitchen unit, now given a new lease of life with Farrow and Ball 'House White' .
It sets off all of my 'b***** fripperies' (as my dear DH calls them!)
Next up, this telephone table, on view as you open the front door... and desperately in need of an makeover. I used Farrow and Ball 'Skylight' (to match my writing bureau) for this and it has transformed the hallway.
House White for this smaller kitchen shelf unit...
' Cooking Apple Green' for 'Petal'... and the Woodpeckers...
A shabby old mirror (Cinder Rose)...
My bag hooks ...(Vert de Terre)
What fun! It beats housework any time!
They all look fabulous Sal - well done you! I have an old dresser that I've been planning to F&B for ages. Maybe one day, eh? x
ReplyDeleteIt all looks lovely, but have you bought shares in Farrow and Ball or did you just happen to have all these different colours lying around at home? ;o)
ReplyDeleteYeah just lying around..no actually,I bought the tester pots..!!;-)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun Sal. Your paint work looks great. I've been wanting to paint some bits but it's a little cold out in the garage at the moment. Maybe this week. Thanks for showing us your lovely pieces.
ReplyDeleteI've just ordered a big tin of Farrow and Ball Cooking Apple Green. Fancy coming 'round to paint my kitchen door? You have certainly proved you have a knack for painting!
ReplyDeleteOOh Sal, it all looks great! I love your bags all hanging together as well, very pretty! I too have spent my week painting, if it's any consolation. I hate cleaning paintbrushes.Pah!x

So sorry to hear you have been feeling distressed of late! Shelves, that's what I need more of, you have done very well to get all these projects finished. You blog girls are keeping Farrow & Ball in business! Nice job! x
ReplyDeleteYou busy little bee, it all looks terrific, would you like to come and do some painting at Twiggy Towers ?
ReplyDeleteTwiggy x
Good lord, you've been busy.. you put my little painting efforts to shame!! It all looks wonderful, I absolutely love Farrow & Ball shades, gorgeous x
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the title "a very distressing week" I said oh no and felt concerned, and then I realised........
ReplyDeleteyou have been busy, the paint colours are lovely I especially like the tile in Lulworth Blue and your display of pretty bags looks wonderful:)
ReplyDeleteWho knew being distressed could be so fulfilling. Each piece looks great and I spent a long time gaxing at all your adorable fripperies. Love the bags hanging on the hooks.
ReplyDeleteYou *are* very handy with the paintbrush! It all looks lovely - the fripperies look gorgeous on the dresser.
ReplyDeletemy, you have been busy Sal. Lovely items reinvented with paint. I am not surprised you have not had a lot of time to blog.

Ooh, such lovely colours!
ReplyDeleteNow, everyone reading this ... with Sal's permission I would like to draw your attention to the magazine IN THE PINK, which is the official magazine of the Pink Ribbon Foundation, the breast cancer charity, and which should be on sale again in October. I mention this not only because it's a good charitable cause (I know, I've had breast cancer), but also because I will have a feature in it. I won't say what that is about, but colour comes into it, and all those reading about Sal's latest painting efforts might possibly enjoy it!
