If ever there was a reason for me to take up knitting again, this has to be it. They are so cute, and a freebie pattern for the Jack Russell-probably my least fave tho'!-knitted in a cashmere mix. How flash! Z xx
A Free pattern? How do I get it please? I love them, although as with all stuffed animals the art is more in the stuffing than in the knitting isn't it? Adore that bulldog.
they are brilliant - just my kind of doggie too - lovely and soft, cuddly and strokeable, without needing feeding walking or cleaning up after!! I'm wondering if these would do as the puppy that the children keep telling me they want for Christmas (because believe me, Santa ain't bringing a living breathing one on his sleigh to this house!)
Sal - I just laughed when I open your latest post. We just lost one of our pups but seeing your knitted friends just reminded me why we love our dogs so much. Thanks for sharing. Jewels
Now you know how much I love these Sal! They may not be vintage but they are very very charming! It is worth picking up the knitting needles again to have a go at knitting one of these.. Might need some help though from MIL who is a champion knitter.
They are so funny Sal! i'd be giggling all the time I was making them!
ReplyDeleteAren't they great!!!! If only I could knit - wish it'd been crochet - saying that my crochet dog just turned out a frog - patterns grrrr.
ReplyDeleteThey are adorable - I've seen them on other blogs and in magazines (but can't remember which!)
