The Bed by Simon Armitage

When Simon Armitage stood up and read his new poem
‘The Bed’ in Westminster Abbey, today, I was truly moved.

‘ ...because you are the son we lost...’
said it all.

                          Isn’t this beautiful?

                          The November garden is behaving quite strangely right now;

                          the roses don’t want to give up just yet!

                 Word has got around, and, in the greenhouse, Geraniums

                 have decided to join in too....

       As have the Fuchsias....

      So, right now, the greenhouse is looking more like a spring greenhouse...

         I sowed some Sweet Peas about three weeks ago and they have germinated.
         I’ll  sow another batch in the spring and the compare which are the best!
         The sedum cuttings have all taken..(they are dead easy to do.)
         Wallflowers are looking happy and healthy...Foxgloves too
         Geranium cuttings ditto!

      And I also have some late showings of radish and lettuce ...

                                         All is good!

                          I just hope that most of this survives the winter!
