Mighty oaks from little acorns grow....

There’s an old proverb which goes something like:

‘Mighty oaks from little acorns grow.‘

Well, on our daily walk, we are fortunate to pass by so many

fine and mighty oak trees. This often makes me think about the

people who planted these trees, hundreds of years ago.

They never lived to see the fruits of their labour...

but my, how we have benefitted!

The Oak Tree has connotations of strength and endurance...

which isn’t really surprising seeing as so many have been standing

so proud, so tall and so majestically for far longer than any of us have

lived. No doubt if the Oak tree could talk, it would tell many takes

regarding the history of our land.

Entire ecosystems depend on our Oak Trees and so it is vital that

we look after these lovely trees.

There really is no better place to find out much more about this

grand and impressive tree, than here here at The Woodland Trust

                            Long live the Oak tree!

To admire, to cherish and to applaud...autumn.

I love all of the seasons; each has its individual beauty
and each contrasts well with its neighbour.
Occasionally, the seasons blend... and then they even confuse!

But there can be no doubt that colours of autumn bring
                   a ‘WOW’ to the year.

In my little part of England, autumn is now presenting itself
right in front of my eyes! The richness of the colours is a joy to behold
and the daily walk is pure pleasure. It’s all there to be admired,
                   cherished and applauded. And so...

                   Three cheers for autumn....hip hip...hooray! đź‘Ź
