Congratulations to you both!

Today is a very special day for my mum and dad!

It's their Diamond Wedding Anniversary!

60 years of wedded bliss!

Here they are at the church, all those years ago, in 1949.

And here they are...60 years on...

Having had a lovely lunch with them, we've just been around to the very same church to take a quick snap!

St Pauls Church, Newton Abbot.

Here's their card from the Queen...

Ooops wrong one..LOL ;-)

They were dead chuffed about this!

(Although I do wish that she would smile a bit more!)

Anyway...many congratulations to them!

My lovely mum and dad!

Congratulations to your mum and dad - definitely something to celebrate. You mum's wedding dress was lovely - I just love the clothes from that era.

Many congratulations to your Mum and Dad and for receiving a very special message from the Queen. Shame about the photo! For you to take a photo of your parents standing at the same doorway as on their wedding day is such a lovely idea Sal. The first card could have been from the Queen. Don't you think the cartoon characters look just like her and the Duke in the gardens of Buck House! x

Wow!! What a fantastic achievement for your Mum and Dad, lots of love to both of them.

And like you I do think the queen should smile a bit more, especially on a congratulatory card!

I hope you had a brilliant day celebrating with them.

Many congratulations to your lovely Mum and Dad. They look just as well and happy today as they did sixty years ago. When you put up the first card and said it was from the Queen, I thought how lovely she has sent such a fun card - I should have known better. Still, very gratifying to get a card from her all the same.
May they have many more years of happiness together.

Congratulations to them! I was trying to date the wedding from the wonderful photo, and I got within the right decade, anyway - how lovely to have the then and now photos. My granny-in-law got a much more smiley card from Her Majesty this year (100 yrs) - maybe your parents will just have to wait for their regal smile.
